Congratulations to the 2016 Pearl & Julius Young Music Competition Musicians

The 2016 Pearl & Julius Young Music Competition was held on Sunday March 13 in Dolan Hall at The College oF Saint Elizabeth.   Eleven young musicians performed beautifully.    The judges were Stanley Alexandrowicz, Andrew Pecota, and Evan Ardelle.

WInners were announced at the conclusion of the competition.  

First Place - Cellist Chase Park - Chase will perform Franz Joseph Haydn's Cello Concerto with the orchesetra under the baton of Maestro Robert W. Butts on August 21, 2016 - at Dolan Hall, The Annunciation Center, The College of Saint Elizabeth - as part of the 2016 BONJ Summer Music Festival.

Second Place - Saxophonist Thomas Kurtz.   Third Place - Violinist Ania Filochowska   Honorable Mentions: Cellist Daniel Hamin Go and Violinist Kenta Nomura.

Other 2016 finalists on the program included Violinists Annamaria Vasmatzidis and Yeri Roh, Flutists Di Cao and Julie NahKyung Lee, guitarist Carlos Bedoya, and bassist William McGregor.
