The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey 2020 Summer Music Festival
While live concerts are not yet possible, we are planning a virtual summer music festival with Video Premiere Concerts featuring the orchestra's leading musicians.
“These will be new concerts," Maestro Butts explained, "performed and recorded specifically for the BONJ Summer Music Festival at the Madison Community Arts Center. These unique concerts will be shown through various online media on Sundays in August.”
Most of these will be individual artists so we are calling the series Solo Sundays.
Artists scheduled to perform include bassist Roosevelt Porter, cellist Evan Ardelle, guitarist Stanley Alexandrowicz, pianists John Pivarnik, Jee-Hoon Krska, and Paul Zeigler, and soprano Timmie Cole.
Full details of times and dates will be available soon. The 2020 Festival represents a collaboration with the Madison Community Arts Center (Eric Hafen, Director of Arts and Events), the Madison Arts and Culture Alliance (MACA), and the Madison Downtown Development Commission.
We need your help to keep the music playing. While we aren't selling tickets, we welcome any contribution you are able to make. All proceeds go to the artists.
