What is it like to be a composer in the 21st Century?

Join Maestro Robert W. Butts and four local composers on the next exciting episode of Bach, Bagels, and Bob - Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 AM.

Amy Reich was a founding member of the prestigious Composers in Red Sneakers and teaches at The Cali School of Music, Montclair State University. Two of her wonderful orchestra compositions. including Winter Dances, have been premiered by Maestro Butts and BONJ.

Dave Williams, long time New Jersey resident, has been composing for several years. His evocative Octahedron for 8 cellos was premiered at a BONJ Chamber Music concert. His works have been performed frequently by ensembles across the country.

Stanley Grill, also a long time New Jersey resident, has had several CDs of his compositions released and his music has been performed by orchestras and soloists around the world. His work Declaration of Peace was premiered under Maestro Butts with BONJ at our special 2019 American Music concert.

Elijah Souels is a BONJ young artist composer. The Newark native has recently composed works for various small ensembles and co-composed with Maestro Butts Variations on Simple Gifts premiered in collaboration between BONJ and Keys 2 Success.
