The Baroque Orchestra is excited about collaborating with American Friends of Lafayette to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Lafayette's return visit to Morristown.
The orchestra will perform on the Green in Morristown on Sunday afternoon July 13 as part of a celebration featuring various acts and activities and a visit from Lafayette himself.
BONJ President Jo Ann Bates and Maestro Robert W. Butts met at the Sansay House in Morristown with Wendy York and Carol Barkin to plan the special event.
Maestro Butts has been commissioned to compose a Lafayette Suite which will be premiered as part of the day's festivities.
